Hello everyone , I'm moving from dallas to philadelphia for a job. I can't get out of texas fast enough as I am very sick of the blandness that is dallas. My new job is HQ in malvern pa. What is a good neighborhood or suburb of philadelphia that has a dense urban feel and good public transportation to malvern pa? I really want to live somewhere that is lively and hightlywalkable. I also have a dog and am a renter ! Thanks .

Assuming you will be working in one of the office parks off 202?

There is a long string of towns(Main Line) that run along Lancaster Pike(Rt 30) which are all connected by regional rail. If you are reliant on public transportation you should probably stick close to Rt 30 where you can most likely pick up a work shuttle at the Malvern Station.

For instance you could live in say Bryn Mawr or Wayne( 2 of the more livelier Main Line towns) and take a short train ride to Malvern for your job.

Center City Philly sounds like what you are looking for but the commute would be substantial and if you live in the city limits you will have to pay a 4% wage tax which is a turnoff for many people.

Conshohocken might be another option although would be somewhat problematic to public transportation to Malvern.

West Chester possibility.

Here is a map of Septas regional mass transit options. The rail line that Malvern is on is the Thorndale Line.
