You know, why do people always assume they were the sperm before they became a fetus? What if you were the egg in your mother's left ovary?

*crickets*

Um. I'll show myself out.

Seriously, you think Center City is too crowded? Try being in Midtown Manhattan any time of the day, any day of the week. Cities are supposed to be busy, bustling, and exciting. If you want quiet, pack your stuff and go be a boring, chain-store suburbanite. Philadelphia is lucky to have a downtown as busy and exciting as Center City, so clearly you aren't meant to be a city dweller.

As long as I don't go out on a friday or saturday night I won't see a lot of congestion.

Because it's more fun to imagine myself with an ovular head and a long tail, fighting against hundreds of million of other sperm to fertilize the egg that was inside my mom. Plus, if I was an egg, I can't proudly proclaim that I was the one that made it!

Anyways, this is the first I am ever hearing of the Fitler Square killings. This is understandable as I was only 7 or 8 in 2003, but I was living in West Philadelphia at the time. I just don't remember ever hearing about this.

Why would you if you were 3 years old in 1998?

Yes the suburbs are quiet and some can be boring, but don't bash/ generalize an entire metro area based on your negative view of the suburbs. The saving grace for Philadelphia is its suburbs.

Actually, he/she bashed an entire group of people (suburbanites) by calling us boring. That's even worse, IMO.

Thing is, if you look into it, and as much as I hate to admit it as a city boy, most of the people who do the most interesting things in most cities came from...the suburbs!

Once the rapes stopped and that murder remained unsolved they probably turned into cold cases. The perp joined the military which was why he left Philly. He started the same thing out in Colorado... which is how he eventually was caught.

There was only one murder in Fitler Sq. The rest were rapes.

The young woman who was killed was an outstanding Penn student and person with a bright future ahead of her.
