That's been true for decades. That is, suburbanites coming into the city to buy drugs.

Even though this thread is about drugs, long ago I was dealing with two alcoholics almost simultaneously. It was a full blown nightmare. Both of them almost died. They've been sober for years but so was PS Hoffman.

Sad that those who are assisting drug addicts are also falling prey to the opioid epidemic

I've worked in the industry for quite a while now, many years of which have been focused within the pain management category. You should see some of the patient videos. It's unbelievable how quickly one's tolerance goes up. Within a week or two it's not uncommon for an addict to jump from 10mg a day to 40mg or more, and onward and upward from there.

A fantastic book that does a great job explaining how we got here is Pain Killer: A wonder Drug's Trail of Addiction and Death by . This is authored by Barry Meier, a NY Times writer who followed this story from the beginning (mid-90s).

Looking at the example of the nightmare that is Kensington today, let me ask all of you... why do you continue to blindly elect Democrats? I'm neither a Democrat nor Republican, but it really seems to me that the Democratic Party has something of a Midas touch. Every city the party touches, it turns to a cesspool.

What is the Republican party's plan to address the drugs epidemic and how is it different from the Democrat's plan?

There has been drug issues in North Philly for decades just like there have been drug problems on 5th and chew in Allentown for decades.
