Got into an argument with a friend the other day over this

Here's my list

1. Eagles
2. Flyers
3. Philles
4. Sixers
5. Villanova Basketball
6. Union

I'm from Montgomery County and there's Flyers stuff everywhere. I see more Flyers paraphernalia than Eagles paraphernalia honestly. I think younger people in the Delaware Valley really embrace hockey even if the Flyers arent having a great season. The Phillies still have a lot of good will left over because of their 2008-2011 run. The Sixers are getting there and have several very likable players. Nova isnt as popular as it used to be and MLS Soccer is still in its infancy

Your asking what we think is the most popular overall?

1. Eagles
2. Phillies
3. Sixers
4. Flyers

Everyone has their own college team. I think Temple probably is the most popular overall just because of size and Football. ABC6 puts the little T on the weather forecast for Temple games.

I honestly never felt many people followed Nova. People follow when they are good, but that’s about it. I got tickets for the game tomorrow!

I think there could be debate about the winter sports. I just don’t see the lowly flyers coming close to the popularity of Embiid and Simmons. They are probably more popular than the Phillies rn.

If you're talking about the pro teams, 1 is Eagles and 5 is Union and the other three are ranked in between by how good they are at the time.

Traditionally, or now?

It used to be:

Phillies
Eagles
Sixers
Flyers

More recently, I think it is:

Eagles
Phillies
Flyers
Sixers (although this is changing as they improve)

Eagles
Eagles
Phillies
Flyers

I'm not a basketball fan. My son and his friends all watch football. I think they only watch baseball because there's no "real" game to watch.

Football won’t be America’s game forever

Hopefully baseball will retake it’s spot

If the sixers go on a playoff run, I think they can ascend above the Flyers and match the Phillies. The Phillies have more history here than the Sixers and Flyers but I don’t think there’s as huge of a gap between the 3 as some older people think

Not a single chance of that happening and I'm a baseball fan.

Even though it may seem not a single chance, it should be noted that High Schools are starting to drop Football programs all over the country due to concussion/health issues. There has also been a steady decline in youth that participate. It could take years to see a difference however.
