Not always. Plenty of times I was walking around and just needed to use a bathroom, or was waiting for someone. And again, I've never had an issue. Plenty of homeless people use them too.

Finding a bathroom in Philly comes in a close 2nd to finding a parking spot. This may not be obvious to people who don't live in big cities. You can't just walk into any establishment and use the bathroom. Same applies to NYC. And if you find a bathroom in one of the retail stores there is usually a line.

So, CNN, and MSNBC told you that, or did that come from your indoctrination in our lovely education system?

My point is that you can not just make blanket statements a person is racist because they are white, and asked someone to leave. Yes, I know it makes you feel better about yourself, but you really can't say why, can you?

I don't watch any cable news, thanks. Nor was I indoctrinated because I grew up in a relatively socially conservative area. I also didn't say that a person is racist just because they are white. Nice try though.

Why would they require a code then if they just let non paying customers use them?

It seemed that you insinuated that. If not, my mistake.

This location has changed its policy to allow restrooms for customers only. I heard as well that one or both asked to use the restroom and were informed of this policy...then it went to the video of them being led out of Starbucks and its CEO had to fly into town to quell this nonsense.

Center City Starbucks locations are not worth the hassle of dealing with the nonsense that goes on in these stores.

I only use restrooms in businesses such as Starbucks as a paying customer but in the past lots of people used to waltz right in for the bathroom code and waltz out. Problem is many homeless street people do this, or did as the bathroom for customers only policy is being enforced.

Recently at this particular location, I did see a barista hesitantly allow a young black dude in the restroom, kinda had that ''i'm not supposed to let you but hurry up'' response-reaction.

Not at this location, but a street person used a restroom and tracked doo-doo all the way through the store as he exited, resulting in basically a hazmat situation so the store closed to clean up this natural disaster. Fun stuff in Philly!

I actually found this location a few years ago as a refugee from the 12/Walnut location....happy to still be alive. Now this national drama based on yet another video clip.

These two ''commercial real estate agents'' will be calling this place $tarbucks soon...the dollar sign and -bucks are quite appropriate. $tarbucks is not getting any more of my green.
