Orrmbl- Congrats on your impending new home! Actually, I'd be very interested in hearing more about the property, as our move time is still subject to all kinds of unknown variables - who knows, the timing might just work out!

Hi folks- what's the scoop on Lansdowne? I've seen a number of properties that seem to meet our needs there.....

Lansdowne, in my opinion, is just ok. Pretty urban, very close to the city so you have a bit more crime but it's not bad, but the schools aren't the best. It's a pretty small area. I wouldn't choose it, personally.

Unless you like city gritty...and getting grittier by the day, I'd keep looking. There is mostly property crime there but that whole are is definitely getting worse - armed robberies of businesses mostly.

I moved from that area 2 years ago and the more I see on the local news, the gladder I am...

To rent, Lansdowne would be fine; to buy, not so much. Schools are bad and taxes are high; your money would be better spent elsewhere.
