I'm wondering if there is a place to go where they play 70's and 80's dance music in Philadelphia?

dunno about the 70s but 80s are fairly common. Clubs worth going to don't have a theme. If you're looking for a certain kind of music you need to follow the DJ(s). I would start with places in your own zip code - Johnny Brenda's, the Barbary, Kung-Fu Necktie and a little further south the 700 club.

I would also check out Medusa Lounge and upstairs at the Khyber. Also, Silk City, Ulana's, Fluid and L'etage.

Man, and who says Philly doesn't have nightlife, these are just off the top of my head places where you might find an 80s DJ - I haven't even scratched the surface.

This reminds me that my club days severely tapered off about 2 years ago and pretty much ended last year. I think i'm getting old enough now that it's acceptable to not be embarrassed about being so out of the loop.

Oh, just found it for you - Fast Times at the Raven Lounge. Thursday, October 1st. Damn, I don't have to work on Friday so I might just be there.

My club-going tapered off far more than a couple of years ago, but sometimes get the itch. I'll check out Raven Lounge. Thanks.
