GreenNorthWestScott,

I have no trouble with non-citizens here as long as they pay their own way and do not initiate force or fraud against anyone.

When they show up to the ER and cost the taxpayer thousands of dollars, they are not paying their own way.

I absolutely have trouble with people entering the country illegally. That being said, I don't think illegals deserve the often racist remarks and treatment they receive as a result of their status. There is such a thing as opposing illegal immigration without hating immigrants. Unfortunately, many of the people in this state can't separate the two and feel justified to act like racist morons because a guy came here illegally. I'm all for deporting and jailing illegals but I don't endorse the hate speech and thinking that is often deployed toward them.

I'm not sure how many would still be showing up at your E.R.'s.
From what I have heard from my Latino friends in AZ after 1070 was signed there was an exodus to California, Colorado, New Mexico, and parts unknown-not relocating within AZ. I think I would be more concerned with your front runner for Gov-Ms Brewer and her mental faculties than big lines at your ER to get a bandaid. Just saying.
