I am seriously looking at buying a home in San Tan area. Will the train keep me up all night?

train noise
I have been in San Tan Valley for 6 years and no the train will not keep you up at night, very seldom do I hear it. Come on down and welcome to the neighborhood.

I have been in San Tan Valley for almost a year now. While I can hear the train whistles blow, it by no means keep me or my family up at night. Then again, I do not live next to the tracks. I think the closer you are to the track the more noise you might here. How close are the train tracks to the home you are interested in?

I live in gateway village and it wakes us up several times a night. It is awful. We will be moving asap. Between the train noise, airplanes and dogs barking this is basically the equivalent to living in a city. No thank you.

This illustrates why it is always a good idea to check a place out before you buy or rent there. If one were to spend a few hours in the neighborhood, than one could have heard whatever noises are there, and if annoyed by those noises, chosen a different area.
