Exactly. Of course there are nice neighborhoods all over the Valley, with, I presume, mostly nice people. They may well be within 20 minutes or so of a less desirable area. That's true of most cities. But, you are going to wear out your welcome here very fast asking similar, broad questions over and over again looking for your beautiful home in your beautiful neighborhood with nice neighbors, without showing much evidence that you have read the information about the various parts of the Valley that is already on these forums. More specific questions, when you are prepared to ask them, will get you better answers, as others who post here have learned.

And, myself and others are telling you what we tell everyone else who comes on here and asks broad general questions about the "best" places to live. People can give you very general advice, but what someone else likes very much may not be for you. You have to come see for yourself, when you have the opportunity, as only you will know, when you see it with your own eyes, whether a place here is right for you and that wife and children you don't have yet . Give yourself some time to come look, when you can.

She goes Ooooh heck yeah! Everyone! is on Speed. Tweekers everywhere. Instead of Beer & weed at party's its like Beer & meth. etc.....
Do you really believe "everyone" is on speed, or is it really the fact that she is giving you a perspective colored by her own personal limited experiences? If you had asked 10 more people at different locations around the city, you probably would have gotten dramatically different answers. The point is that your sampling of a small set of random people is not statistically significant enough to give you accurate feedback.

please don't give him any ideas!!!....

actually, CG27, you gotta get over here and spend several days looking around.....look at the other threads here and take notes.....

and, actually, why DON'T you move to OC?....if the house is newer and not near a faultline, it should be OK, right?....don't let fear guide your decisions.....
