I just moved to the Phoenix area 2 months ago and live in Ahwatukee too. I also love it here, and find the area to be so convenient. Tons of stores and restaurants nearby, South Mountain Park, easy freeway access....I've found nothing to complain about yet. I know the summer will be hot, but I've lived in the deserts of CA and NV before, so I'm prepared. I think my favorite thing here so far is how beautiful the sunsets are. My hubby and I are very happy we moved here, and I'm glad you are so happy too!

That's right, the sun affects me like that. I confess. I love that Phoenix is a huge city, I love that airport is only 15 to 20 minutes away (In KC where i"m from it was like a major road trip...I'm in Ahwatukee) The people seem nice, my neighbors are fine, and I live within walking distance to bars, ice cream shop, coffee shops, Trader Joes (thank God) Sooooo, I'm happy here in this great city. Will the honeymoon end? Don't know...stay tuned.

What a nice happy post. May all continue to go well for you in your new home state.

STL is a great city!

Lots to do and doesn't get too cold or too hot...

No mountains...

I miss skiing up in Northern Arizona, too!
