My wife and I are flying into Phoenix (spending some time with my brother in Mesa.) I would love to take my wife out for a fine dinning expierence on the 29th what suggestions would you have? Circa $100.00 per person would be fine.
Thanks in advance.

There are a hundred different options...

What kind of place are you looking for? Quiet and fancy? "Happening" and fancy? What's the age group you're looking for?

lots of choices.....

Durants is the old, established, nearly unchanged steak place in town....like stepping back into the 1950s.....may be a bit of a drive from Mesa if you need to go to and fro that evening....can your bro suggest a place?.....

A few of my favorites:

Quiessence - located in a tranquil setting on a pecan orchard in a renovated farmhouse. They source locally including from their on-site farm, and the menu changes daily. If the weather is nice, be sure to request a table on their patio.
Quiessence Restaurant at The Farm at South Mountain, Phoenix

T. Cook's - I haven't actually eaten dinner here yet (just appetizers and cocktails), but it's another beautiful setting in a Spanish Colonial style mansion. They even have a "Director of Romance".

Prado at the Montelucia is in the style of a Mediterranean villa with a pretty patio overlooking fountains and Camelback Mountain. They have a new chef (Italian) and I love what he's doing there. Heading back for our second visit next week.

J&G Steakhouse at the Phoenician and Elements at Sanctuary both are more modern with gorgeous romantic views.
Scottsdale Steakhouse - Jean-Georges - Fine dining scottsdale - scottsdale restaurants - Valley Steakhouse - best view - top rated - award winning

elements Restaurant - Food & Drink - Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa

We have reservations for Kai next month for our first visit - Have heard amazing things about it, but it's about double that price point per person. Award-winning with a focus on Native American ingredients and locally farmed ingredients from the Gila River Indian Community.

Not sure what area of town you'd like to go to but I recommend the Arcadia or Scottsdale areas.
Places like T.Cook's, which was mentioned above, or the Sanctuary. Or the El Chorro Lodge in Paradise Valley. One of my favorites is Lon's at the Hermosa(website is Scottsdale Arizona Luxury Hotel – The Hermosa Inn: A Boutique Hideaway). I've heard Vincent's, on Camelback road is very good and romantic, as well.

Here's a link to an old article regarding a few choice valley restaurants. I know that Richardson's burned down a year or so ago and I don't know if they rebuilt it yet. I also don't think it's as quiet as the other's listed.
