We are looking in Chandler, Perioa or Glendale. Are the schools better in Chandler. Perioa or Glendale. Looking at Great Schools the ratings verify and the feedback from parents are both positive and negative.

It's Peoria, BTW. Ratings on Great Schools will be all over the map, and opinions here will vary, too. There are good schools in all those districts. You should be focusing, IMO, on living within a reasonable distance of where you work. You don't want to get a job in the East Valley and be living in north Peoria. You will find a good school in any number of areas around the Valley, including Phoenix proper.

There's good ones in all of those areas, but if you are just tossing darts at a map at this point, Chandler wins hands down. It is in the Kyrene district which is consistently (across its many schools) the best district. Outside of there it's much more case by case owing to the huge demographic differences you can find in other districts. Kyrene is pretty much homogeneously affluent.

yep - everything is school by school, however out of those 3 you are probably looking at having better luck across the board in chandler, then peoria, then glendale .... it's possible to find good schools in all 3 and pending on what school you end up in you could have some long, drawn out argument as to what is "better" - on the whole though, if you just stumbled into a random school you'd have a better chance stumbling into a good one in chandler

another thing to note is that many cities don't have unified school districts and they are not necessarily served by any single school district ....... it's very common to have the elementary school district be a separate entity from the high school district

when looking keep an eye on not only district assignment but also the boundary map

for example, if you were looking at avondale you could have 3 (maybe even 4) elementary districts that serve the city - the Avondale ESD doesn't serve the entire city and it's completely separate from the HS districts

Kyrene and Chandler. There is no reason to go to any other district in the valley.

I did read a lot on Kyrene and saw it was good. Thanks

I agree with Finger Lake, you can not rule out any particular district. You really have to look at the individual school as well as the upper school that it feeds into. (elementary, to middle, to high school). there are districts that accept open enrollment, but not all.
