Where can I go to get a map of the roads so that I know what is close to me when I move??? I have an idea where I will live but no idea what is around, like businesses.
Is there a site I can go to or can someone send me a map that tells details. I know here in KY in my town we have a map that tells all the roads if you need to know how far a road is.
Just an idea. I have no idea what big cities offer. I have no idea what part of PHX I will be living in or what businesses are close.
Thanks in advance for help.
~Adele

Once you narrow things down to a major intersection, Google maps will give you the nearby businesses. I don't know of any map, hard copy or online, that will show you all the businesses in a wide area of the Valley.

It would be worth your while to invest in a Phoenix street atlas. It shouldn't be hard to find one from am@zon or some place like that.

A street atlas will help you find your way around, but you will have to look up businesses (whether to apply for jobs or to patronize them) by other methods.

Google Maps is my holy grail even with GPS when embarking on traveling to a new spot. Trust it more than GPS. I remember a ways back you expressed your desire to move here Adele. I appreciate your passion in starting a new chapter and hope you find success out here.

There is a feature on google maps that allows you to see all the shops and businesses around the area you are looking at. Also a nice feature is the street view. Mess around with it for a bit, you'll find them.
