Can anyone suggest a good Gynaecologist in Phoenix who can take up late pregnancy case ( high risk with gestational diabetes ) .Am in 31 weeks of my pregnancy and just arrived in Phoenix a week back .Have CIGNA insurance . So please suggest me some good Docs who are OK to take such late pregnancy case as mine. One Doc whom I approached denied to take my case as it is high risk due to gestational diabetes.

I don't know a whole lot about this, but my wife goes to Southwest Womens Care in Ahwatukee, located on 40th St./South of Chandler Boulevard. They delivered our baby almost 2 years ago and I would highly recommend them. There's several doctors on staff, so there's always someone there to help. We delivered at the Mesa Banner Desert at Dobson/US-60, and it was a GREAT experience from what others have gone through. That is the hospital that they primarily deliver at, as far as I know.

My wife used to work(had 1 birth there) at Banner Good Samaritan and they are the best in the city and one of the better ones in the country for problem pregnancies/deliveries. They are always on Discovery Health and whatnot with their cases... You could do a google map search and find an OBGYN near there.?

There is (was there five years ago when I left Phx) a clinic associated with Good Sam just to the west of the hospital (on McDowell, in front of Children's Hospital) that has a wonderful obgyn staff. I got immediate and wonderful care there when I suffered major female problems that required a hysterectomy.
Best medical care my family ever received. We had our primary care doctors on one side of the room and the obgyn on the other side...

This is what Phoenix Perinatal does. They take transfers from other doctors because pregnancies become high risk during the term.
All of their patients are high risk. When I was there, they had patients flying in from other states to see them. They're like rock stars of the OB world.
