I recently relocated to the Phoenix area and am looking for a church for fellowship. Any recommendations?

(Oh yeah - I'm used to the shouting, pew-jumping, holy-roller, tongue-talking, "all day" church services, but I'm open to finding a good spirit-filled place to worship)

Hope Covenant in Chandler is my favorite. Baptist Churches are very spirit filled, also. Hope this helps you.

I've never gone there except for a wedding, but some friends of your persuasion really like Phoenix First Assembly on Cave Creek Road. It's a big AOG mega-church and some of the most beautiful church grounds in town.

I think half of the church goers in Phoenix go to CCV - Christ's Church of the Valley judging from all the stickers I see on cars. see.

I think you need to fail a driving test in order to get those stickers though.

You sound Pentecostal like myself. Good spirit filled churches I reccomend:

Apostolic (Non-trinitarian pentecostal, baptize in Jesus Name):

First Pentecostal Church- The church I attend....we raise the roof on Sunday Mornings! The Pastor Pastor Eddings is awesome and he teaches and preaches sound doctrine....I love it! Our motto is "Love Never Fails!"

Morning Star Apostolic Church: Another awesome spirit filled church I recommend. Pastor Lizzaraga is amazing!

El Bethel: Larger church with a great pastor and good spirit filled worship.

Phoenix First Apostolic Church

COGIC (Church of God In Christ-trinitarian pentecostal):

Greater Paradise Worship Center: I hear great things about Pastor Walker.

Higher Heights COGIC

Antioch COGIC

Baptist (full gospel)

Pilgrim Rest

Non-Denomination:

New Destiny Christian Center
River of Life
Kingdom In The Valley
Azusa World Ministries
Calvary

You may want to consider a church close to you since it is easier to get involved when you live close.

If you like a spirit filled, bible based teaching church---I recommend my church Veritas Bible Church in Peoria. We currently have services inside of Omega Schools at the corner of 87th and Northern Ave. in the west valley.

Bishop C.L. Mitchell is the bishop and pastor. We are a small body of believers growing every week.
