Weatherbug is showing a 30% chance of snow in Gilbert on Thursday??? Anyone else think that is likely?

Its very possible, yes. It wont stick, but Phoenix can and does get snow. Im sure higher-up elevations (ie Carefree) might even see sticking snow. Its been below freezing the last few nights, and its expected to get colder starting tomorrow, so this precipitation (read: rain) could very well turn to light snow in even lower areas of the Valley. A week or so ago we got some decent hail up in Scottsdale.

Mesa got "snow" last year...it just melted either before hitting the ground or shortly after. Scottsdale got some that stuck...especially on the loop 101 around Shea. It happens.

You nailed it. I Googled it, and theres a pic of the 101 around the Pima Rd/Shea Rd exits with a lot of snow.

That was a hail storm from Feb 2013.

LOL I remember having to push it off the car before backing out into the road. The neigborhood kids were trying to make a snowman out of it.

That day started with rain than turned to hail and slush at 2 in the afternoon.

It would be nice to see. So many people here complain about the heat and the fact that Arizona doesn't get a "real" winter. It would be nice to have a short burst of snow to give those people something to talk about for next several months.
