Hospitality Suites

Anyone seen it?

I'm trying my best to conserve money for the move, so I'm trying to compromise on the hotel. Is anyone familiar with the above hotel, and the area?

As always, thanks for the input.

I suspicion that would be somewhere in Old Town / South Scottsdale.

I think your other post said you are coming within the next few weeks? The "decent" hotels are not going to be cheap this time of year. For example, I like Chaparral Suites (right by Fashion Square, at Chaparral and Scotsdale Rd., a few miles north of the hotel you list above). During "off season" rooms can be had for like $99. During "season" those same rooms balloon to like $250 or something.

I would agree a hotel in Old Towne Scottsdale would be very POSH but expensive as well.

My wife uses the motels North Of Camelback on 16th street and commutes to her meetings from there.

We have used the Days Inn next to the fashion square mall with good results as well.

I stayed there the first of December for 4 days and it was a very nice hotel, no issues!

Its on the border of Scottsdale Rd and McKellips, the border of Tempe and Scottsdale. Cant speak for the price because I prepaid with Expedia, but it was very clean and has nice amenities. They offer breakfast for you every morning at their restaurant and with your hotel room swipe card you can get discounts at area restaraunts. Id stay there again for sure.

South Scottsdale, not "Old Town". Go for it. I grew up less than 2 miles NE of there. The last time I was through there was over a year ago but it looked the same-apartments, small independent car dealerships, a shopping plaza just south, but mostly surrounded by a sea of 60s & 70s residential homes. It's only 1.1 miles north of SR202. You could do much, much worse. Enjoy your visit!

Yep! Very easy to get to Sky Harbor from the hotel. 202 west, 10 East, bam.

I like the Fiesta Inn in Tempe.

If you're staying for more than a couple of nights, try one of the Studio 6 extended stay hotels. There are 2, one in Deer Valley and one in Tempe about 6 miles from the airport (close to Scottsdale). They're not fancy but perfectly comfortable, well priced for weekly stays and wireless access is only something like $5 for the duration of the stay. They have small kitchens, too, and security. Worth a look. http://staystudio6.com

Always some illegal activities at the Motel 6--remember what happened last year to that volunteer? You want cheap and good? Go to Laughlin NV--3.5 hours from PHX--you will get a vary nice room for 19 from sun-thursday. Friday and sat, camp on the river.

Default Thanks

I booked the room with the hotel that I posted at the top. Since this really isn't a vacation, I might as well save as much as I can. Thanks for the input, and I'm really exciting.

Phoenix in 2 weeks
