I typically wear a pink hoodie over a pink polo shirt in the winter. I also have a pink IZOD sweatshirt that I wear at times. When it isn't too cold, I have a pink long sleeve T-shirt.

Wool pants and suits won't get as much use, so if you have a lot of them, get rid of most. Keep a heavy jacket, for the same reasons you keep one coat.

Part of this depends on individual tolerances, but I'd keep some things rather than going through the expense of replacing them.
As someone who has lived in both, I can tell you that Phoenix's winters are much warmer than winters in Vegas. Average high temperatures are about 8-10 degrees warmer and average lows are about the same as well. It makes a significant difference when its 55 during the day and 35 at night versus 65 during the day and 45 at night.

Winter attire in Phoenix: Shorts, sunglasses and tennis shoes or flip flops. Seriously though, it can get down to the low to mid 30's in Phoenix during the winter, which is a bit cold for shorts. Sweaters or a windbreaker jacket work fine, but nothing too much heavier than that.

I think the most useful thing is a leather jacket. If it gets unusually cold, have a heavy sweater to wear under it.

Late December to about mid January is usually when the coldest temperatures of the year occur. Although freezing temperatures are somewhat rare, this period has the best chances of having these cold spells. We had a cold storm system around New Years Eve, and low temperatures dropped into the low 30s for a couple of days afterward, but then it warmed right back up shortly afterward. That was the only time this winter when I wore a heavier jacket. Normally, all I need during the winter season is a light jacket, sweater, or even just a plain long sleeve shirt, and it keeps me plenty warm. It's too uncomfortably warm if I wear anything too heavy.

Thank you for all the helpful feedback! Looks like I'm going to let go of most of my snow boots and a few sweaters, and pack the rest. Wheee! So excited!

Unless you decide you miss the snow, and want to take a drive up to Flagstaff in the winter...
