I do not have a dog in the marijuana legalization fight. But really, from the evidence that I have seen, I personally believe that Joe Arpaio has committed felonies far more serious than those uncovered in this Anthem nail salon.

BTW, they should have had a Jimmy McGill-type working out of the storage room.

That's amazing coming from him. At least $5 million in wrongful-death settlements just last year in Arpaio's jails.

Seems like if he wanted to "save lives", fixing that might be an easy place to start..

Arpaio's problems are political vendettas for doing a good job enforcing the laws. He will get over this mess and be re-elected as long as his health holds up.

What's funny is a thread about a bunch of criminals laundering money in a dope ring has turned into another. "I hate Joe thread". I think people are angry now that their supply has just been cut off and it will be DRY in Phoenix for the next little while..

I never knew Phoenix was home to so many bleeding heart Liberals.

Anyone telling us that illegal drugs is a victimless crime is one of the following.

1. High on drugs
2. Drug dealer making money off the drugs
3. Leader of cartel making huge amounts of money off drugs.
4. Totally clueless on the facts of all the theft, armed robbery, murder and such that are all linked to the illegal drug business.

Your math is way off if you consider 4 out of 50 states " legal everywhere" Only 4 states are legal for recreational use and 19 others for medicinal use including Arizona. Also,as ElleTea pointed out it's still illegal and money laundering isn't a victimless crime.

"Facts", really?

Please cite some "facts" showing how marijuana use leads to "theft, armed robbery & murder"..

There are drugs that are so powerful and addictive that users resort to crime to support their habits.

Those drugs are widely available in the valley, and evidently they aren't a priority for our senile sheriff.

Marijuana isn't one of those drugs.

Joey's little "bust" proves that he's mismanaging the department.

Funny how no one wants to talk about the 28,000 known felons wandering our streets with impunity while he allows his "undercover" agents to spend 7 months investigating pot sellers.

One could reasonably conclude that the overpaid civil "servants" at the sheriff's department want to enjoy their fat salaries & overtime without doing anything to actually protect the public, or facing down any real criminals.

On a forum that's well-stocked with scads of so-called "fiscal conservatives", I'd expect a little outrage. You're paying for law-enforcement & getting an army of overpaid meter-maids, growing out their mullets at taxpayer expense & grabbing the lowest-hanging criminal "fruit" while ignoring the guys who might actually kick in your door & shoot you in the head for their next fix.
