I work st Burton Barr, and to some extent, the temporary pop up library, Park Central. You’d be surprised at the amount of people that still use the library. If you exempt the homeless, the library (Burton Barr) still services hundreds of folks.

In my experience, public libraries have always been makeshift homeless shelters.

Park Central isn't suited to my interest but it's a viable option for those seeking internet, movies and children's books. There's a good sampling for a pop up but I'll be opting for the Mesquite Branch until Burton Barr opens again.

Yes, sadly our attendance has been fairly low at Park Central. A lot of people are weary to go into a basement, makeshift library. Soon though, Burton Barr will reopen. Construction progress is going good and on time.
