Hello,

My field is journalism. I have extensive experience in newspapers (copy editing, writing headlines, pagination, page layout, writing). I know about the Arizona Republic, a Gannett paper, of course. Are there other papers I should consider? Due to the poor state of the newspaper industry, I am open to switching to another field that would be suitable to my skills (trade publications, technical writing, magazines). Are there any employment agencies I should check out?

Most of all, is it unrealistic for me to think I could get a job in the Phoenix area that requires my current skills?

Thanks

Ms. Traveller

Try the East Valley Tribune. They have a good reputation. They are located in Mesa at 100 W 1st St. 480-898-6500
Also look in the Yellow Pages, there are dozens of small newspaper businesses in the Metro Valley.
