Just saw a video of what looked to be a substantial amount of snow on the ground in Cave Creek. How unusual is this?

Elevation is like 1k ft higher than Phoenix, not all that uncommon. It just happened New Years Eve.

We also got snow in Fountain Hills. Not sure how often this happens.

I can see snow on the McDowell Mountains from my office!

Historic Flagstaff snowfall could help lessen drought, expert says - KTAR.com

Thank goodness for global warming, er, global climate change, er, Arizona drought relief, whatever they want to rebrand it as this month. As long as it solves the water situation !

Nothing more than a strong El Nino. This was expected this year and MUCH needed.
