Try Craigs list. You can always post the location here and people can let you know if it is a decent area. There are tons of rooms for rent all over AZ. What kind of work do you do? That might dictate where you will want to start looking.

Zucco, this is the post we all wanted to see from you, not you testing your human capacities in the heat. Good luck to you, and I hope things pick up very soon.

You might want to stay a little closer to the Phoenix area. North Phoenix is a decent area and it would not be a horrible drive to down town or the airport should you get a job in those areas. My daughter rented a room with some very decent young professionals in Desert Ridge. You want to avoid driving across Phoenix, living on one side and driving to the other for work. I would not look in Queen Creek or Maricopa due to the lack of close proximity to the larger companies. If you have some specific job skill, start there and then look for housing. I am sure you will get lots of good advice on this forum. The person that suggested staying put for a bit until your head clears and your emotions calm, was the best advice so far. Good luck.
