The companies supplying the chip manufacturing plants explains the less than 100,000 foot spaces to lease. But when I was out trolling for business out on the Loop 303 a few weeks ago half of those mega space warehouses with 500,000 to 1,000,000 were empty and appeared to be built on speculation. Be interesting to see if they are occupied in 6 months to a year.

Seems that anyplace that accommodates Amazon inventory via storage (i.e. warehouses) or purchase (i.e. housing) seems like a good devopment play. I just hope we can keep the warehouses out on the outskirts and make our cities more vibrant and livable for actual people.
