We are considering making an offer on a home in Mission Ranch, a gated community in Glendale 85310. I haven't been able to find out anything about the neighborhood through searching this forum or google. Does anyone here know anything about the neighborhood?

Thanks!

Well, you won't believe the amount of researching I just did to figure out where this place is. We don't typically know the subdivision name right off the bat unless it's one of the biggies. There are thousands of them! I even live in this zip.

But, now I know where it is and have pasted it many many times. It's an EXCELLENT area!!! It looks very nice from the outside of the gate... very upscale and secluded. That whole area is just awesome with so many mansions being built just up the hill. We almost bought a house down the street from here and wish it would have worked out. You can't go wrong with this area!

Thanks, Sable!! . My main concern is a powerline view from the back and a lot of homes for sale on the street... But I feel better now; I'm more familiar with north Peoria. Hopefully our contract will be accepted .

Your welcome! You are right that there are the power lines right there, so if you're ok with that, then you'll be set. The nice thing about that area are the mountains that surround the area. It's quite nice.

There are lots of homes for sale everywhere. The one thing to be concerned about are foreclosures and short sales. They will bring down the value so quickly, so hopefully your house is priced well.

An extension of one of our big community colleges is being expanded right now and I believe it extends close to this subdivision. It's supposed to be completed for the FAll classes. It' not a bad thing, it's much better than a strip mall.

We are looking to buy a home in a gated community, so it is great to read what to watch for! Being european, I do not know what you mean by "foreclosure" as a problem. Is it not a benefit rightnow when you are looking to buy?
