The area you mention is a pretty nice safe area. But make your own mind up. Good luck to you.

(Can you tell I have issues with realtors?)
Dookie, nice screen name! I used to have a screen name similar to yours, dookie related!

Don't succumb to pressure. BTW why not talk to a random selection of neighbors about the area. You'll get the straight dope right then.

You're getting advice from someone in sales. Do you expect to be treated like a friend? Do you really buy that line, that smile? Realtors are largely scum in my book, but then I've only bought and sold a dozen homes over the years. I now only use my attorney. I trust my attorney more than Realtors. Does that tell you something?

So if Realtors are largely scum, and say, as a contrast, nurses, charity workers and Special Needs teachers are largely kind-hearted individuals with a high moral code...how would you define someone who used to be, say, a charity worker, and decided to become a Realtor?

Does someone's profession turn them into scum, or was the ex-charity-worker-turned Realtor just scum waiting to happen?

Or, could it even be possible for someone to carry out a business dependent on sales (are any businesses not dependent on sales?) and at the same time retain some sense of morality and put ethics above the acquisition of wealth? Do you really think most Realtors willfully ruin people's lives to pay the bills? How would you determine a "good" or "ethical" Realtor, if such a thing existed? How would you know, if you assume everything they say is deceitful and self-motivated?
