Is that the motorcyle institute? I believe they are in Avondale, It depends on what you're looking for. If you want to be close to MMI then check out Avondale, Phoenix, or Glendale area.

If it's in Avondale, look at (well) Avondale, but stay north of the I-10 or east of the river. Goodyear is a great option. Litchfield Park, parts of Buckeye, parts of Peoria and parts of Glendale are also good options.

It's not in Avondale, it's at 28th Ave and Deer Valley Road. So, you would be looking at the northwest part of the Valley, in Phoenix, or north Glendale, as the closest areas to live.

We have a town home in that area and there are several nice developments that you could check out. Contact a realtor to help you find out what is available. It is very difficult to hunt for housing long distance and you want to be in a safe area.

Anthem could be a good choice.

I wouldn't do that commute on the I-17. There are perfectly fine areas closer in.

Anthem to 28th Ave and Deer Valley wouldn't be much of a commute at all (12-14 miles each way). And they just widened the I-17 there, so traffic shouldn't be bad in that area.
But as far as finding a nice house to rent for a family with a young kid, it'll be very hard to find a better community than Anthem in that area (north Phoenix).

We love the north valley!!!! We close to the area you mentioned. I suggest Stetson Hills, Stetson Valley, Norterra, or Fireside at Norterra (great community and ammenities). People either love or hate Anthem. Have heard there are some issues at the schools. All area are part of the Deer Valley unified school district and the area has many fantastic charter schools. There are also great MOMS Clubs that service the areas I mentioned, which could be good for you to meet new friends.

Thanks to everyone that does really help, you are right it is hard to look for a place from such a long distance Im just nervous about finding a place online that looks nice in the picture and turns out to be in the middle of the ghetto. Is Tempe too far of a drive to MMI which I have heard is on 28th and Deer Valley. Again thank you all for the info!!
