Hello, we are relocating to Vistancia area in one week from out of state due to my husband's job transfer.
We've already lived in AZ in the past, but in Chandler, so we don't know much about the area. We will be renting a home for 6 months until we get a feel of the area, and see if that's where we really want to stay and buy a place.
Meanwhile, I would like to know what and where are the closest places to shop for groceries, movie theaters, college/community college(s) nearby (?), post office, library and etc... I've done some research on the area, (like, I know there is a Safeway close by) but we can only do so much through Google and the internet!
Also, does anyone know anything about Vistancia Elementary School? I have a 5-year old son starting kindergarten there this year, done some reading on Greatschools website but would like to get personal experiences from parents.
Any and all info. about the area around Vistancia will be greatly appreciated!

We have the big box centers 4 miles down the blvd. There is a Target, Lowes, Home Depot, with all the supporting chain stores. GCC is the closest community college which is in Glendale. I think you will like it here as much as we do. Welcome to Vistancia
