Some folks get frustrated by Surprise traffic because the design of this heavy populated area involves a reliance on Bell Road to travel east. Traveling east on Bell Road from Surprise involves passing through Sun City which has a high elderly and winter visitor population. They are known for driving slow but, hey, we can all use more training in the art of "patience".

It wouldn't be prudent to move to Surprise if you have to work in Mesa, but I suppose there have been people who've done it. It all depends on where you are coming from, where you have to go, what route you take, and what time you have to drive.

That said, we really do enjoy it so far. It's a strange mix of people, that's for certain!
