Good photos as usual, Homlish. I'm rather glad you didn't include pictures of Centerpoint in Tempe. Even though I was elated when those towers were under construction, I am very disappointed in how they were abandoned with no immediate opportunity to turn them into something worthwhile. In order for Centerpoint to succeed, it should be converted to either lower priced condos or apartments. Nobody in this current economic state is interested in a million dollar condo unit. That's such a ridiculous price even in an inflated market.

Centerpoint should be taken apart and moved to Scottsdale. It would be a better sell there and it's too upscale for Tempe.

I was really hoping to live along or near Central but I either can't afford the asking prices or the rents, or places are in foreclosure. Some were never built yet. I was looking at 04 condos near Park Central area but it's a dirt lot. Anyone know what happened to that development?

It looks like a pretty good school, their program setup looks like it would make the student well rounded.

To go back onto topic, I would recommend avoiding apartments in Phoenix and stick condos or homes. Unfortunately most of the apartments out here are not maintained very well. Minus the brand new Alta Phoenix. I forgot about that place!

I don't think I could live in Phoenix again, everything is too far. Tempe has its own problems but for the most part I enjoy having everything close.

There was demand for the Centerpoint condos, otherwise the project wouldn't have even been on the drawing boards. The problem with this, as well as quite a few other condo projects, was the asking prices were too steep. It doesn't matter if the towers are in downtown Phoenix, Tempe, or Scottsdale. The average person cannot begin to afford what most of the units were going for. This is why they either need to lower the prices, or turn them into apartments. The housing market has slumped, and there's not going to be a market unless the costs come down.
