Thanks for the kind words.

The last photo was taken with a Canon 7D and the Canon 28-135mm IS.

Many of my landscape and night photos are taken with the Tamron AF 17-50mm f/2.8.

Note - I wouldn't suggest the 7D as the body unless you need it for fast action work like sports, which is why I have it.

Oh cool! I will look into Tamron AF 17-50mm f/2.8 for my future lens.
I envy people who can take beautiful landscape photos as I am terrible at it

For landscapes you might want to go even wider. For crop sensors the new Canon EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM for $300 looks like a great lens.

I took this in Long Island City, Queens which has some of the best views of Manhattan.

p.s. Can anyone tell me how to post my pics so that it doesn't show up as a thumbnail like it does here? I'd like a larger image to show up in my post as is the case with other posters here. Thanks in advance.
