Not sure If I'm the only one, but as I drive the American interstates, I have noticed all of the roadside crosses, whether part of a church, or a free-standing symbol of someone's faith on their property. I try to get shots of these and thought it would make a good thread. Here's a couple of mine (modified, of course).
Wow these are some good ones. You could probably sell the candle cross on Ebay for several hundred bucks . It's funny, the cross redbird posted is the one in my first pic, I just added a touch of shade and cropping.

Yeah, sorry, I didn't realize it until after I posted mine. Forgive me, brother.
This was in the Winchester Star paper Winchester VA.....
An instant landmark
Dennis Ridings of Irongate Inc. photographs the handiwork he and his co-workers completed Tuesday: a 100-foot-tall structural steel cross built for the Open Door Baptist Church, north of Clear Brook in Frederick County. The cross, easily visible from nearby Interstate 81, weighs almost 30 tons and sits on a base containing 460 cubic yards of concrete. Ten workers labored for seven weeks on the structure; it will eventually be covered with fiberglass and lit from within. The crossbar is 60 feet wide.
