Last night in a very violent rain lightning storm I decided to take some night shots of the Shuttle. Not knowing till just awhile ago about 90% of the images where useless do to condensation on the lens. A night shot can be done by the SX10... My first night shot that some what came out... At least I'm in the ball park this time...
I've gotten some funky icons and other stuff I have no idea what they are! Lights blinking and flashing too! I just turn my camera off then on again and they are gone!
I also went to my Menu and am not sure what half the settings should be set at.
I am S-L-O-W-L-Y learning!
Just ordered that manual you posted!
I also went their.... never did answer me either...
I just discovered the SCN settings. And my lens hood. Duh.
I will top everyone here! When I went to Ponce Inlet and took my camera out. I turned it on and hit some buttons by mistake. When I looked at the LCD screen everything was black! Yikes, now I thought my camera was broke or I hit something that disabled my screen and now would not be able to take any pics for the day!
HAHAHAHAHA..............MY LENS CAP WAS ON! I have done this more than once!

I am really enjoying these "horror" stories about learning the SX10 IS. Now I don't feel so alone. Thanks for making me smile today!
Well, grannymontanny, I can see that you're getting the hang of your new camera. These are both terrific shots! I especially like the "ratty old goat" one.
thanks,im finding the zoom the hardest to get used too.

I think the "Stabilizer"is only good in the 28mm ..... 100mm just guessing in the hand held range... when your at full zoom and dim light it comes on big time. The ((((((Red Square Box )))))) at lower shutter speeds also..
