I'm wondering how close we need to buy a house to the T if we plan to use it for commutes downtown. Do they have parking spaces at the stops?

Thanks, after checking the map perhaps the better question is: can you GET a parking spot at those T stops! 24 spaces in Mt. Lebo???

Having lived there, I really liked the Perrier water fountains at the station.

There is a parking garage right on top of/in front of the station on Washington Rd, but that's probably $10/day. Lots of people park on neighborhood streets and walk to the T (at least they do in my 'hood,) but I don't know how common that is in Mt. Lebo.

Park on my street, and I'll have my butler slash your tires.

Most of the streets that have residential parking in the area of the T either have meters, a 3-hour limit, or both. And believe me...they ticket. Usually there's not much else for them to do.

Here is the link to the Parking Authority's website. If you're going to drive every day you could buy a lease.

Mt. Lebanon Parking Authority

Another suggestion is to drive to the Castle Shannon Park & Ride. It's much larger and you have a better chance of getting a spot. Depending on where you buy your house in Mt Lebanon you may be closer to that Park & Ride anyway.

Shhh, that's where I park. It is quite large and generally does have spots left after 7:00 am. BUT, don't tell anyone else...

There's also a lot at Memorial Hall that generally does have spots as well, but it's $2 per day.
