I heard a few years back (may have been just a rumor) that someone was supposed to turn Warner Center into an entertainment complex (I think.) Has anyone heard the latest on that or anything else on the Fith and Forbes Corridor project that was buzzed about a few years ago. All of that seemed to have been overshadowed by the Market Square renovations that it all seemed to dissapeared.

State government is in control of most if not all of the Warner Centre.
Its the venue for welfare offices, which I guess have to be somewhere.

Pittsburgh already has plenty of entertainment venues for the denizens to spend their limited number of entertainment dollars.

I know that, but I thought they were trying to turn that back into a movie theater among a few other things. I think they were trying to bring entertainment back downtown again.

That was a proposal under the Murphy administration. This was going to be part of the Fifth and Forbes plan for downtown. Once that died, the building was sold to a group from Newark NJ. The same group tried to buy the old Lazarus Building but Millcraft Industries purchased and redeveloped it.
