At the risk of being hated: yes
Every place has skeletons in their closet and the difference is that Panera Breads is now known. They still have good food and most of the employees are still decent people. Just because a few managers were a**es doesn't mean that I will boycott their food

Panera Bread has quality food, and the company should not be punished just because a couple of franchisees are bigots.

This isn't the way people think. Look at Penn State. The entire school is a mess over one person that hasn't even had a trial yet. A couple people at Penera might be bad eggs, maybe all this is a hoax. Just that the question is asked makes me realize we are all still just people with lynch mob mentalities and have not evolved at all. One person accuses someone and it gets media, it all of a sudden is fact and can take down a whole company. It is a sad state.

To answer the question, I would of course eat there. I don't like to buy into hype and accusations that are not proven at all.

Agreed!

That said, they don't get much business from me anyway. Once every two or three years is it...

Like Pitt Chick, I don't go there often so it probably wouldn't matter either way if I boycotted them or not.

I've only been there once, at the Robinson location, about five years ago. Way too overpriced and not that great.

So, no, but not because of any scandal.

I wish they had more variety of sandwiches, but I like it there a lot. The bread bowl soups are awesome, especially the chicken and wild rice. I will eat a meal and take one to go next time I'm there, just to make up a little for any lost business.
