I might have to go to this area, and I was wondering if anyone can give me the heads up as to what kind of area it is? nice, crack town? safe? etc

Thank you,

Have you looked up info via google?

Here's the demographics: Jeannette, Pennsylvania - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Here's the crime statistics: http://www.city-data.com/city/Jeanne...nsylvania.html

It's a much farther drive to the Strip to buy that squeaky cheese you like, and you complained about going to the Strip from Mt. Lebo.

It's pretty rural out there. You'll have to go much further for many things compared to where are you are now.

You really should take a drive out that way and spend the day.

This is not a trip I have to do every day...(in no way I would do that!) and yes, the "strip" is also a one in a few months trip...you have to understand this from my perspective to know why I absolutely hate driving long distances.

This is a one thing I have to do, business related,...not looking to move there, sorry for not specifying earlier. I am not sure yet even, but someone asked me to go there, and I did look it up, just wanted to see if anyone had something extra to add about that area.

We're staying put in Mt Lebo. for now, too many conveniences we're not willing to trade off yet.

Jeanette's a pretty crappy school district, isn't it? And a little rough? I could be wrong, but that's just what came to mind off the top of my head.

Jeannette sucks. Why would you want to live there? If you're looking for a cheap house to rent or buy in Westmoreland, you can look into Irwin. Avoid Jeannette.

I've never been there, but I've never had a good impression of the place.

What kind of work would take you to a dumpy house like that one on the map?
