If they actually manage to catch the person(s) doing this, they should get stuck with the bill, with penalties....lots of penalties.

It seems like all these happened after the Western Psych shooting. Related or just coincidence? If the person(s) are caught, it will be because they got carried away.

Amen. I think they should pay the ($16,000 per threat) X (16 threats) = $256,000. Think that should be an appropriate punishment.

Yeah I know. I get all the ENS texts as well. This university needs to band together and take down this juvenile.

Maybe time for professors, and the school, to look at online-class options as a back-up plan, if not for now than for the future in case of emergencies like this. Some teachers are having class in Schenley Plaza, or on the library steps, and there is an option to make up classes on upcoming Saturdays, but this madness can't continue. The K-9 units are the only ones on campus able to get work done.

New one:

Cathedral of Learning, Chevron Building, Frick Fine Arts, Posvar Hall

I think whoever is doing this is trying to find out just how much they can get away with. Rather juvenile, but I hope this growing hubris will lead to the downfall. I hope....

Pitt needs to restrict access to Cathedral of Learning. Now that other buildings are targeted, those need to be screened as well. Someone can't just wander into the U.S. Steel building without registering first or being cleared, and at least while this is going on Pitt needs to be more proactive instead of reactionary.

If they have a registry of who was in the building and when, then they can begin to parse that and hopefully narrow down the search.
