you're sort of onto something but it's appalachia that is not very diverse, not the midwest. detroit is home the nation's largest middle eastern community.

Cleveland has a much larger Latino population than Pittsburgh, and Chicago is very diverse. Appalachia isn't diverse at all. Altoona, Johnstown, Hagerstown, Wheeling, Charleston, WV, are all very white, with blacks being the only sizable minority. All of the cities in the Midwest are much blacker than Pittsburgh, with the exception of Minny. When blacks from the Midwest come to Pittsburgh, it's jarring for them.

This just proves my point:

Pittsburgh is bleach white basically.

And Vermont, NH, etc. are all very rural places. I'm talking about cities/metropolitan areas as Pittsburgh is a city.

And what's Pittsburgh's problem with Hispanics? It seems every other city has more Hispanics than Pittsburgh lol.

You didn't specify you were talking about cities and I guess Lancaster and Scranton are Midwestern too in your brilliant head.

The same exact problem Provo, UT has with Blacks and Asians and Scranton, Knoxville, and Youngstown have with Asians. How about LOL to that?
