Don't let the door kick you in the ass on your way out then Bud! This is the CITY OF CHAMPIONS! WOOO! GO STEELERS! STEELERS FOREVER!

I for one am PROUD that I give virtually all of my disposable income to the Rooney Family and NFL in exchange for mass-produced memorabilia and Steelers apparel. GO STEELERS!

Are you auditioning to become Pittsburgh's version of Stephen Colbert? If so, excellent job!

I used to like the Steelers stuff as much as anybody. Now, it just kind of annoys me.

Anyhow, some shots of the game (well, after the game). I'm pretty thrilled about how they turned out.

I'm indifferent to football as a whole, but I hate the Steelers with a passion for nothing more than the fact that it's so in-your-face around here. It seems like more and more events / activities in this area just have to have a goddamn Steelers theme to them in one way, shape, or form in order to spice things up for the yinzers. Sometimes it's very subtle, but it's there. I find it sad and pathetic that everything "Pittsburgh" seems to require some sort of Steelers angle for it to be entertaining to the masses around here. One of the few exceptions is this forum, which is why I bother posting here in the first place. It's refreshing to know that there actually are people in this region who don't get drunk and use obscenities in public, actually care about the part of the history of this region that wasn't created by the Rooney family, and who I wouldn't characterize as being mildly retarded.

As for PNC Park, I truly believe that it's the best ballpark in baseball. It's also an architectural masterpiece.

It should also refresh you to know that there are plenty of us who are passionate about the Steelers but have enough other hobbies and interests to occupy our time the other 345 to 350 days of the year during which the Steelers aren't playing football. Take a look at my ratio of posts to reputation points. I didn't get that from being a yinzer. Like I've said before, yinzers are poor ambassadors for Pittsburgh, and you've touched on part of why. It's time to define them as a local subculture, as opposed to letting them define the local culture. The Rooney family run a great NFL franchise, and it's a point of civic pride to have the only NFL team with six Lombardi Trophies, but that's not nearly all there is to be proud of or occupy ourselves with in Pittsburgh.

Why would you hate Steelers culture? Really, pro-sports is the best thing Pittsburgh has, except for baseball. Drinkin' at a Stillers game helps me to forget the lack of job opportunities, corrupt government, and lack of sunshine the vast majority of the year.

I haven't been there yet myself, but from photos it looks beautiful. Maybe 2nd only to ATT Park in SF, home of the two-time World Champion SF Giants!

The head news story the other day is that one of the players (not the star player) may or may not be on the team this fall. It's on the front of conversation. People get into arguments about what needs to be done.

(It's April, remember.)
