Oh okay I misunderstood. I still think that if this scene was poking fun at any other group/race etc it would have been a much bigger deal and people wouldn't be defending the person.

After Madonna in the 80s, I think most people understand the motivation a woman has to protest against the Catholic Church with her sexuality. I'm not really sure what type of sexual demonstration against another religion you think would cause a bigger deal. If she did a similar type of sexual protest towards Islam, people would certainly understand that demonstration since Islamic women are viewed as very oppressed by their religion.
