I like SCR too, although I wish he would stick to talking about Pittsburgh in the Pittsburgh forum. Not sure why he periodically feels a need to tell these strange exaggerations about Virginia, especially since he lived there for such a short time. But I doubt he needs to justify his move to the Burgh. Pittsburgh is a cool city with a lot of good things going for it-- and more importantly it's a perfect fit for the things he wanted in a city.

Thank you gorton! I forgot to use my sarcasm font for this one.
I need to get some tips from Gee Whiz.

He has ESPN. Does Comcast still include that in their Triple Play package?

Most college graduates do not want to settle for a job delivering food. They have invested too much in college and they want a career. They didn't invest all that time and money in college to graduate and take a job that doesn't require even a high school diploma and is not a career. If the best Pittsburgh can offer a college graduate is a job delivering food, those graduates will go elsewhere to find a real job and a career.

And few college graduates will want that job! Most college graduates want a job with benefits, including vacation leave and health insurance. They want a job with a future, a career, not a job managing restaurant deliveries and delivering food. No one invests in college hoping to have a job that someone with a GED (or less) can get. Why would anyone move to Pittsburgh, or remain in Pittsburgh, for such a job? They wouldn't.
