Thanks Hope. As I, said I do not plan on doing this, and I wouldn't do anything that my lawyer told me not to do. I was simply asking a question.

Hopes, I think that OP should at least hire you as a PI on this case.

Harassment issues aside, if my name were on any document certifying their residency, I would want to make sure that once that residency is terminated there would be another document relieving me of that responsibility. No need for phone calls, a certified letter to the SD informing that as per the affidavit signed by me earlier, the current residency is now terminated would be sufficient.
If no such document bearing my signature existed, as a landlord I wouldn't bother sending the notification. But as a taxpayer I probably would.

I know. Regardless of what your lawyer says, I'm giving you my honest opinion that you are contemplating an unwise plan.

Funny! But a PI license requires X years of specific police experience.

The following falls under the "who knew?" category since I always viewed PI's as derelicts.

Quote:
All applicants must meet the following qualifications:

1. A member of the U.S. Government investigative service; or
2. A Sheriff; or
3. A member of the Pennsylvania State Police; or
4. Regularly employed as a detective or as a member of a city police department of a rank or grade higher than that of patrolman for a period of not less than three (3) years.

Pennsylvania Private Investigator License

Interesting... Can three years of police experience be substituted with 6 years of city-data experience plus a medal?

Cute. This what you resort to when someone doesn't agree with your posts. The OP asked for opinions. I gave my opinions. One of my opinions is to not blindly take the advice of a lawyer without due diligence. The OP is admittedly being vindictive. The last thing she needs is encouragement. And that's my opinion whether you like it or not.

Oh come on... I didn't mean it to come out like I'm questioning your expertise here. I, personally, have none fwiw.
I'm here to enjoy a good argument, not much more then that. Our opinions differ and that's the extent of it.

In a lot of places, if the residents move out of the school district, they are required to pay tuition to keep their kids in that school, unless there is a reason they are in that school -- like the parents work in Mt Lebo, but the family lives in West Virginia. They can usually send their ids to a school close to where they work in situations like that.

As to why? It's a pressuring tactic.

Hopes, you would make a very good detective. Sort of like that lady from "Murder, she wrote"

Apart from this issue I found a couple of websites (debt collectors) that report to all 3 credit agencies and have national change of address, so they'll find them for me. I didn;t even know such service existed. Great. I am not sure when I should report them. I guess after the trial, when they won;t be able to pay or something, right?
