i always took my car to koons toyota in virginia and always had a good service even if i didnt buy my car there.

now that im here i need a place to get oil (10w-30) changed and tire rotated. hopefully under the $60 mark, but the important part is trustworthy.

im anal about my car and i damn well make sure they use 10w-30 and not 5w-30(toyota changed the oil by 2012 for toyotas and mines a 2011).

last thing i need is for them to make up bs to try to sell me. i had good folks at toyota in va and now looking for a shop that is quick and does it for realtively cheap

I've had good service at Molnar's on Baum at Graham. They aren't the cheapest, but I found them to be honest.

My current car I've been taking to the dealer, the last time I was there was in 2010 and I've gone there on and off since 1993.

People love this place on Angie's list and also on Yelp, though I haven't had a chance to use him yet:

Walter's Automotive - East Liberty - Pittsburgh, PA

I do recommend Jiffy Lube for inspections though. I prefer getting my car inspected somewhere that doesn't do much in the way of repair, gives them less incentive to fail the inspection.

Tim is great. I would have suggested him, but AFAIK he doesn't do oil changes and the like. He's an incredibly bright, honest, and affordable mechanic though.

When I lived in that area I took my car to Meinert Truck and Auto off Butler St. It's a tiny place that has like three employees. They never tried to sell me stuff or do additional work other than what I asked, the price was always what seemed reasonable to me and the guy that I talked to there was nice. That was enough to keep me coming back.

Fink's Fuel in Aspinwall, right over the Highland Park Bridge, is great. Not too far from you.

Lou Iezzi (sp) on Bryant St is good. Also heard good things about Walter's in East Lib.

Baum Blvd. Auto on Baum just past Millvale Ave heading inbound. Been taking the chariot there for years. Good service and always reasonable price.
