You should just buy a house. You'll pay about that or less and can do and have what you want.

It is possible to get something in Aspinwall. Believe it or not, you don't need a car to live there. All the shopping is a quick walk away and flat. Also, you can walk to the zoo, which is really kind of cool. Maybe you aren't ready for that though?

I totally agree. I don't thin property values are going down in our region as a whole. Pittsburgh is a slow mover, but with the interest rates as low as they are right now, why not just buy?

OP: don't get it twisted Edgewod is safe... This particular street- due to its proximity to Wilkinsburg, is simply just not much of an upgrade from Larwrenceville & Friendship near East Lib/Garfield... Though its livable if you don't have better or more affordable/realistic options.
