Means nothing to me. I assume the worst at all times on the roads, so if they can't see, it is about what I would expect from the dopes driving around. You spend a lot of time in East Liberty. You should know that it is horrible driving no matter what, so some snow means nothing. Also, I about never see people with tons of snow on their windshields or side windows. I call BS for the most part, but it doesn't change much. Most people can't drive and that isn't just a Pittsburgh thing.

It was so easy to clean all of the snow off this morning, but I also think the fact is was snowing makes people think they shouldn't clean their car off. I didn't notice much snow on cars this morning minus the roofs of larger cars. The worst I ever noticed about cleaning their cars off was when I went to Maryland last March. There was probably only an inch and over half of the drivers were lucky to even clean their back window.

You can also be penalized for it:

Quote:

When snow or ice is dislodged or falls from a moving vehicle and strikes another vehicle or pedestrian causing death or serious bodily injury as defined in section 3742 (relating to accidents involving death or personal injury), the operator of the vehicle from which the snow or ice is dislodged or falls shall be subject to a fine of not less than $200 nor more than $1,000 for each offense.[/SIZE]

Yeah but is that law really even enforced? How often does flying snow/ice from cars cause serious bodily injury or death to people and how can it tracked to one single vehicle?

Anyway, the alternate title of this thread should be: People are jags: Volume 2462

I think it would usually tend to happen with large trucks on a highway. There would need to be witnesses or traffic cameras that caught it to enforce, though.

My pet peeve is people who don't drive with their lights on when their windshield wipers are on. It's another traffic law that is rarely/never enforced and is somewhat difficult to do so.

What bothers me most is when you see people with snow on their cars like three days later.

Seriously, all they would normally have to do is park in the sun at some point.

Come on, how are they going to do that here?

or, more aptly - "drivers are jags". being a constant walker-arounder, you really see people in cars as total a-holes, mostly. when i drove much more often, i was the same way. your psychology changes. its understandable, we're all human, but just realize that if you complain about someone's driving or habits, chances are there is an idiosyncracy about YOUR driving methods or habits someone can bust on.

for me - im sure people hate the way i merge (no, i dont come to a complete stop). also i come to zero mph at stop signs, and that is very aggravating, i know...im stating this to show you the zen ive reached

Eh, I see your point but cars don't drive themselves. If you're a jag when you are navigating a 2 ton machine at high speeds then you are always a jag.

Yeah, I don't think I've ever seen it happen with a normal passenger car, but I have been behind semis/box trucks on the highway that had shards of ice flying off the tops.
