My cat has been missing since Sunday. His name is Toki. He's a sweet natured fluffy orange and white male cat. He has very large paws. We last saw him in our backyard in Crafton. He has never been gone this long before. He is microchipped. If you see him or find him call Home Again: 888-466-3242 and give them his microchip number, 4860732A08. They will then contact me. Thanks!

Good luck, Jules.

I recently read that if your pet gets out, you should leave a shirt or a pillowcase or something that smells like you outside on the porch/deck so they can get a whiff and guide themselves back.

Hope you find him ASAP.

If you haven't already, there are some very large Pittsburgh-area based Facebook groups dedicated to this subject, they seem to have a bit of success getting the word out there too.

I hope that toki comes home soon....I know how worrying it is when they slip away. Does your neighborhood have a next door group? They can be very helpful since it is just folks in your immediate area. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Good to hear that he is chipped. My friend lost a cat once and several months later, ended up moving out of state for a job. About two years later she got a call from the animal shelter where she had moved from and here someone had found her cat and brought her to the vet to be checked out because they were going to take in what they thought was just a stray. She was thrilled to be reunited with a pet she had thought lost for good. So there is hope. It might take a while for Toki to find his way home again but that chip increases the odds significantly.

Do post on the Lost pets Pittsburgh group and the WPHS pages on Facebook.

I shared the following on my Facebook page.

This kitty is lost in Crafton. If anyone sees him please help Toki find his way home. He is microchipped. If you see him or find him call Home Again: 888-466-3242 and give them his microchip number, 4860732A08. They will then contact his very worried owner. https://www.flickr.com/photos/20550177@N03/19575168569/

Anyone here can copy/paste the above and do the same. The Picture will show up on your post.

I hope you get him back! Put up fliers in the neighborhood. He could have gotten shut in a garage or outbuilding or someplace. Knowing a local cat is lost might prompt some conscientious person to go check their place.
