A teen has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a woman at a T station in Baldwin Township on the Fourth of July.
Port Authority spokesman Adam Brandolph confirmed the arrest this morning. Mr. Brandolph said the 15-year-old boy is accused of physically and sexually assaulting the woman just prior to 10 p.m. Monday at the McNeilly Station on the Blue Line.
Sources told the Post-Gazette’s news partner KDKA-TV that the boy, from Castle Shannon, followed the woman from the Wood Street T station in Downtown Pittsburgh to the Baldwin stop, where he grabbed the woman, beat her and raped her.

it may be worth noting - the infamous green line of washington's subway system has stuff happening that would stop you in your tracks. shootings, beatings, and bloodshed are not that rare there. a woman was recently raped on the train, while it was en route.

I can't believe he is being charged as a juvenile. In most cases I'm for lenient treatment of 15 year olds who commit crimes, but rape is an exception.

I believe is is how the law is written. He didn't use a weapon, which I guess is one of the bars for being charged as an adult. Perhaps this incident can enact some change to that law.

If this kid were from the city or a notorious 1st ring suburb (ghetto), people would be all about bundling it with the gang scourge narrative. I'm truly surprised there's not more horror at this incident. Must we all avoid Castle Shannon now to be safe?
