Hi, best ways to commute from South Fayette to Downtown Pitt ( Highmark building ) ? I have a car but I am thinking on driving to a park and ride and take a bus or the T ? Any ideas would be appreciate. Thank you!

That will take an hour if you drive and ride the T. I'd park in Carnegie and take the west Busway to avoid the parkway wesst.

I would also recommend the Woodville Park and Ride in Heidelberg or even the old Star City theatre in Bridgeville to catch the G31 which also uses the West Busway. Depending on when you plan on commutingX you may find the Woodville and Carnegie lots full, but plenty of parking at Star City. The G31 uses surface roads between Bridgeville and the busway, so that will add time to the commute.

The star theater park n ride is the best bet. The Carnegie park ride fills up fast.

Agree with previous posters. The Star City park 'n ride lot always has plenty of spaces.

I used to do this. Sometimes I would drive to work downtown, drive across West Liberty and it usually took me about 45 mins to get to the lot at Consol.

Then I tried the T ; I would park at Dormont (get there before 6;30am) and ride the T from there. That was also ok. Not a bad drive at all and parking is free.

There are plenty of people who drive from the Star City lot and that lot has plenty of spots always.

I have never taken the bus from either place but I know when the Carnegie lot fills there is nowhere else to go. What part of SF are you in, are you closer to the t than Carnegie?

I drive past the lot in Carnegie daily at 7am and nobody is going in there as it is full.
